My name is Rostislava Buhleva-Simeonova—a trained psychologist, art therapist, and gamificator. I have worked with children, adults and the elderly in the frames of various therapeutic programmes over the past eight years, all the while providing the much needed playful twist that art and gamified experiences can produce in this sometimes uneasy setting. But it wasn’t until the birth of my daughter, Aurora, that this work took on an even deeper personal meaning.

My approach is rooted in the belief that art and play therapy can serve as a powerful medium for self-expression and a crucial tool for understanding and supporting child development. The therapeutic use of art and play enables children to communicate their feelings and experiences in ways that words may often fail to capture. This realization has shaped my professional philosophy and ignited a profound passion for the field.

As a mother, my daily interactions with my own child have reinforced my understanding of developmental milestones and the myriad challenges that parents face as they guide their children. This dual perspective of being both a psychologist and a parent allows me to empathize with families and better design interventions tailored to meet their unique needs. I am committed to ongoing learning, constantly seeking new methodologies and insights to enhance my practice. Through this journey, I aspire to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, ultimately fostering resilient and emotionally healthy children.
My academic background includes advanced degrees in psychology and specialized training in art and play therapy, equipping me with the skills necessary to address a diverse range of client needs. My experience encompasses working with various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, allowing me to tailor my therapeutic approach based on developmental stages and individual circumstances.

My commitment to child development and art therapy extends beyond my personal practice. To further benefit parents, educators, and caregivers, I have created Early Pages, where I have curated a collection of resources on enhancing emotional and developmental well-being in children. Among these materials is my comprehensive art therapy guidebook, thoughtfully designed as a practical resource for parents. This guidebook provides an in-depth exploration of 101 art therapy techniques and their applications in everyday life, enabling caregivers to engage with children in meaningful ways. It aims to make art therapy accessible for all, ensuring that parents have the tools to integrate these practices into their homes. Additionally, I am the author of a series of children’s books, which further illustrate my principles and techniques through engaging stories and relatable characters.
Furthermore, this blog and accompanying website are rich with resources that are continually updated. Visitors can expect to find articles, expert interviews, practical tips and recommendations related to all my areas of expertise. As I expand my understanding of the field, this continuous journey not only enriches my practice but also enhances the resources available to my audience, offering invaluable support along their own paths of exploration.
